I wrote an article about VR Glaciers and Glaciated Landscapes that appears in the Autumn 2019 edition of ‘Geography’, published by the Geographical Association. It includes some suggestions as to how the resource can be used in the classroom. Examples include landform and landscape interpretation exercises; studying glacier response to climate change; spatial literacy, GIS and remote sensing; preparation for real fieldwork; and student inclusivity.
The following links through to the journal, but you’ll need to be a GA member or have institutional membership to access it: https://www.geography.org.uk/Journals/Geography
I will seek permission to upload the article to this site, but 12 months needs to have elapsed since publication before I can request this. So it’s on my October 2020 ‘to-do’ list!
